For troubleshooting common issues, try a Hard Reset by following these steps:

• Firmly press & hold the Power and Select Button for 12 seconds.
• Let go when the screen goes blank.
• The SPOT X logo should be displayed on the screen.

SPOT X needs a clear view of the sky with no obstructions. SPOT X is not reliable at the bottom of a deep canyon, in a cave, in an abyss, or in very dense woods

Before heading off the grid, we strongly recommend that you send a test message to ensure your device was activated properly. You can view your sent messages in your SPOT My Account

Why is the SOS information important
When you activate SOS, the search and rescue coordination center will receive and transmit your location, contacts, medical details, and activity information to response teams. This data directly impacts how quickly rescuers can reach you and provide appropriate assistance.
