National Sales Manager -Spot, LLC

Position Overview

Spot, LLC is a wholly owned subsidiary of Globalstar, Inc who is a rapidly expanding and an innovative provider of mobile satellite telecommunications services.

We are seeking a National Sales Manager to develop our sales channels. Candidates should have strong Merchandising relationships in the retail industry.
 

Responsibilities may include

• Manage and expand upon our relationships with the merchandising teams at our key retail industry customers,.

• Develop and expand our sales channel strategies – Mass retailers, specialty retailers, rep groups, distributors, buying groups, BtoB and BtoG customers.

• Develop a retail sales plan including forecasts and budget

• Recruit, hire, manage and train retailer focused Retail Merchandising force of 5 direct reports across the U.S. servicing the POP and training needs of the retail associates.

• Have excellent working knowledge of our products

• Build strong partnerships with key customers and initiate joint marketing opportunities

• Coordinate closely with marketing resources to ensure sales force is properly equipped

• Stay abreast of competitors products and current market positioning

• Prospecting, spec’ing, POC and closing of technical communications products and services to government agencies, schools, small businesses to Fortune 500 companies and/or OEMs.

• Effectively present, communicate and close the need with all levels of an organization from field techs to engineers to mid-level managers to C level executives

• Other duties as requested

   

  Position Requirements:

• Minimum of an undergraduate degree in Business Admin, Marketing, or related field

• 5+ years experience in a CPG sales management role to mass retailer merchandisers required. Significant relevant mass retail sales management with merchandisers experience may be considered in lieu of degree.

• Demonstrated business skills related to planning, budgeting, training, writing, presentation and selling

• The ability to work well in a dynamic, fast-changing team environment that requires a high degree of “detail orientated” multi-tasking with minimal supervision

• Demonstrable understanding and knowledge of Satellite communications industry and related products & services, would be a big plus.

• Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication, and time management skills

• High competency with Microsoft Office suite and/or comparable business/presentation tools

• Strong cold-calling, lead generation, cold calling and closing skills

• Must be willing to travel 25-50%, possibly more as business dictates.

• Must have valid driver’s license, good driving record and proof of insurance

Globalstar is hiring an entry level Network Performance Engineer to join our team!

This individual will have a Bachelor's Degree in a technical discipline, telecommunications, electronics or electrical engineering or computer science from an accredited college or university. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 to 4 years of progressive experience in performance analysis of CDMA and/or LTE for end-to-end wireless network architectures. Satellite network experience is a plus. The Engineer will provide key support to the ground engineering and quality of service teams by collecting data from testing and performing validation and verification. This position will also require Quality of Service testing to identify network issues. This person will also act as a liaison between the Engineering teams and Sales support to isolate customer performance issues. • Operational software and product test support.
• Perform field testing to validate system performance.
• Perform engineering performance analysis from call record collection systems.
• Execute validation test cases for new operational features.
• Proactively looks for areas to improve overall system performance. Finds and resolves system issues on the network.
• Conducts proactive system performance tracking and monitoring to ensure that platforms continue to perform as designed.
• Train field QoS test teams to perform testing at various sites.

Position requirements:

• A Bachelor's Degree in a technical discipline, telecommunications, electronics or electrical engineering or computer science from an accredited college or university
• Solid knowledge of PL/SQL, Perl, Python, VBA, Excel advanced macro reporting.

• A minimum of 2 to 4 years of progressive experience in performance analysis for CDMA and/or LTE for end-to-end wireless network architectures. Satellite network experience is a plus.

The proposed territory for the Southwest Region consists of Arizona, California, Colorado, Nevada, New Mexico, Utah.  Home base will be in the territory.

  • Provide feedback on product improvements suggested by retailer associates and customers.
• Recommend Trade shows and represent Spot at trade shows, as needed.

Position requirements:

• This individual will ideally have a minimum of an undergraduate degree in a related field and/or significant relevant industry work experience in a retail setting or for a CPG manufacturer, preferably tech.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 to 4 years of progressive experience in performance analysis for CDMA, EVDO, and/or LTE for end-to-end wireless network architectures, KPIs, and parameters – Satellite network experience is a plus.  The Systems Analyst will be providing key support to Systems Engineering team, billing and software team by developing analysis tools, collecting data from testing and performing validation and verification. This position will also require assisting with Quality of service testing of the network and work with the QOS team, and Operations teams to determine and find network issues. This person will also act as a liaison between the Engineering teams and Sales support to isolate customer performance issues. The ability to effectively manage time and prioritize tasks is a must. This individual will have good organizational, analytical, and numerical skills.  This individual will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Major Job duties are, however not limited to the following:       

• Operational software and product test support
• Creation of automation support for test tools and system analysis
• Create requirements as well as perform field testing to validate system performance;
• Define requirements and development of call record collection systems
• Define requirements and development for Engineering performance analysis from call record collection systems
• Execute validation test cases for new operational features,
• Proactively looks for areas to improve overall system performance. Finds and resolves system issues on the network by utilizing traditional and non-traditional means.
• Takes ownership of projects, identifies and forges new processes to optimize network performance.
• Conducts proactive system performance tracking and monitoring to ensure that platforms continue to perform as designed.
• Identify new network performance monitoring metrics
• Train field QOS test team to perform the testing at various sites
• Typically manages multiple projects at a time with little or no supervision

Position requirements:

• A Bachelor's Degree in a technical discipline, telecommunications, electronics or electrical engineering or computer science from an accredited college or university
• Solid knowledge of PL/SQL,  Perl, Python, VBA

This individual will have a Bachelor of Science degree or higher in Electrical Engineering from an accredited college or university. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of ten years in telecommunications core network architecture.  This position is an experienced Telecommunications engineering lead position responsible for providing technical support to the Globalstar ground equipment and deploying the Globalstar next generation Core Network system.    The ability to effectively manage time and prioritize tasks is a must. This individual will have good organizational, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.  The successful candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills able to work with local and remote team members.

Major Job duties are, however not limited to the following:       

• Serve as the IP Core Network (CN) technical interface between Ericsson and various Globalstar teams.
• Responsible for deploying Globalstar second generation IP network based on 3GPP IMS architecture to Gateways
• Manage and procure the requisite Customer Furnished Equipment (CFE) that Globalstar is required to provide to Ericsson as defined in the Core Network contract.
• Responsible for translating technical facility and networking requirements to an executable plan
• Work with Radio Access Node (RAN)/CN vendors and Network planning team to define IP design
• Development of the test plans and procedures for the CN and RAN integration and implementation to the Globalstar ground stations.
• Development on overall end to end systemic testing.
• Provide active test support for RAN-CN interface testing to RAN/CN vendors
• Provide active support for CFE (IPBN, SMS/MMS, Voicemail, Billing) integration to the core network

Position requirements:

This position is an entry level Network Operations Center position in a technical operations support environment.  The position requires a Bachelor of Science degree.  This individual will receive experience in wireless communications, field engineering, technical support, customer care, network monitoring, and issue management.  The ability to multi-task is essential.
