SPOT CELEBRATES 5000 RESCUES AT 2017 OUTDOOR RETAILER SUMMER SHOW

Covington, Louisiana (July 18, 2017) – SPOT LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of Globalstar, Inc. (NYSE MKT: GSAT) and leader in satellite messaging and emergency technologies, will showcase its line of communications products at the 2017 Outdoor Retailer Summer Show in Salt Lake City, July 25-29. Corinne Corson, an avid hiker, was solo-hiking while on a holiday in California. Her eight mile-day hike turned sideways after losing her map, leaving her stranded in rough terrain. After working her way through thick brush, trying to find the path back, Corinne pushed the S.O.S. on her SPOT Gen3® device knowing she would get rescued by a helicopter.

"My SPOT did exactly what it was supposed to. My friends were able to check my waypoints, and they received my help button," said Corinne. "I made a mistake, and then did everything right including eventually pressing the S.O.S. button on my SPOT. I am grateful for the Search and Rescue team that came to assist me. No matter what your experience is, everyone should carry a SPOT device because you never know what is going to happen."

In June 2017, SPOT initiated 77 rescues including two women who slid down a mountain and were injured while hiking; a man who had fallen into a crevasse and suffered a number of injuries including spinal trauma and a severe concussion; a man who fell off a cliff and sustained head and hip injuries; and a man who was taken to the hospital in a helicopter after falling 35 ft. while mountain climbing breaking his ankle and wrist.
