COVINGTON, LA (June 21, 2017) – SPOT LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of Globalstar, Inc. (NYSE MKT: GSAT) and a leader in satellite messaging and emergency technologies, has formed a partnership with the American Mountain Guide Association (AMGA) as the organization's official satellite emergency communications provider.

"We are thrilled to have SPOT as the official communications provider of the AMGA," said Dana Ladzinski, strategic partnership manager for the AMGA. "It is so important for our guides to feel safe and to have access to emergency personnel when training guides in the field. We emphasis the importance of back up communication to all of our guides and future guides and highly recommend SPOT products as a reliable and affordable piece of mind."

The AMGA is an education non-profit that is dedicated to supporting the American mountain guiding and climbing instructor community. AMGA offers cutting edge knowledge and hundreds of years of collective experience through the organization’s expert guides and staff. Steadfast in setting the standards for American guiding instruction, the AMGA continues to protect the guiding community and organizes a powerful, unified community of guides and clients.

"The AMGA is a great organization and we are excited to be partnering with them as they train the future guides of America," said Dave Soregaroli, National Sales Manager for SPOT. "SPOT products are a great fit for the climbing community as they often climb and adventure in areas that are off the grid. The ability to call for help or to alert search and rescue with the push of a button is key to the safety of all climbers."
