My Adventure Story

This was our first overnight trip with the dogs and team.  We went on the easy groomed snow first up to Bob Lee Hut where we stayed for our first night.

After that we headed off into untracked territory up into the Pisa Range.  It was VERY slow going as the dogs were not that keen on the deep untracked snow!

Finally we made it to the Kirtle Burn Hut where we spent the night.

The next day was reduced visibility and rising wind so we headed down the tight valley back to the Snow Farm.  There were some near misses as the sled and dogs nearly went into the stream!  After a few crashes all was well.

A great round trip - but very challenging for dogs and sled teams.  Slightly easier on skis.
