Firmware stops or displays an error during the update process
Note: Firmware update may take several minutes to complete, please do not interrupt while processing
- Disconnect the cable from both the PC and SPOT Trace
- Remove the batteries from the SPOT Trace
- Verify the cable is firmly connected to both the PC and SPOT Trace
- Try updating the firmware
- Ensure the most recent Updater Tool is being used. Launching the tool directly from the website will ensure the latest updater version is being used
- If still not completing the update, reboot the PC
- If still not completing the update, try using a different USB cable and/or PC
Note: Ensure USB cable is capable of data transfer
