SPOT Trace Mounting and Installation

The orientation of the SPOT Trace when installed may have an impact on the performance and consistency of the device.  For the best reception, always mount or install the unit with the SPOT logo directed to the sky.  The internal satellite antenna is located beneath the logo.

If using line power, ensure that the unit will be installed within proximity of your power source.
You may install the reversible mounting bracket using the included:

• Double-sided industrial strength tape
• Adhesive grip pad
• Adhesive hook and loop tape. 

Then, place the SPOT Trace in the mounting bracket.

The device will transmit through fiberglass, fabric, and glass.  Reception may be inhibited due to hills, buildings, metal roofs, or other obstructions.

We strongly recommend experimenting and testing your device in the desired installation location before semi-permanently installing.
