SPOT Messages may be affected by Regulatory and Anti-Fraud Prevention measures
There has been a shift in the business-to-customer messaging environment, with an increase in Messaging regulations introduced in many countries and service providers throughout the world.
These restrictions may affect message delivery from a SPOT device to the intended recipient(s). SPOT is making an effort to limit the number of undeliverable messages due to these restrictions, but some messages will continue to be blocked by Service providers. Below are some measures to help prevent or resolve these message delivery restraints.
- Verify the recipient has not requested to block messages from SPOT
- Call the service provider of the recipient and ask to investigate the blocked messages
- Call the service provider and request to allow messages from SPOT
Other reasons why a SPOT message may not be delivered to a recipient:
- The recipient may be roaming and is not allowed to receive messages
- The recipient is not allowed to receive international messages
Note: SOS messaging is not affected
