SPOT LLC is conducting a product return on SPOT Satellite GPS Messengers (SPOT 2) with an ESN number equal to or between 0-8000000 and 0-8053925. During continuous testing, we discovered that some of these SPOT 2 devices may not meet battery and messaging operating specifications. SPOT LLC is dedicated to providing the highest quality and best performance products to our customers.
If your SPOT 2 unit falls within this range, it will need to be returned for replacement. Please contact our customer care department by calling 1 (866) 651-7768 or email firstname.lastname@example.org as soon as possible, to receive a replacement unit.
The Exchange Process
- Save any messenger data that you want to keep by clicking here to read instructions on saving your data. SPOT LLC is not responsible for any data loss.
- Upon contacting customer care if your unit is determined to be a part of the recall you will receive a RMA number and an address to which you will need to ship your recalled unit.
- Ship only your recalled device and remove the batteries prior to shipping.
- Once your unit has been received, you will be sent a replacement SPOT Satellite GPS Messenger device.
This does not affect SPOT Satellite Personal Tracker nor is it an upgrade program to transition from SPOT Satellite Personal Tracker to the SPOT Satellite GPS Messenger.
Product Return : Please contact SPOT Customer Care (1 (866) 651-7768 or email@example.com) to start the exchange process. Have your ESN number (located in the battery compartment) available so Customer Care can verify that your SPOT Satellite GPS Messenger is part of the exchange program and provide you information on how to return your old unit. Once your old unit has been received, a replacement SPOT Satellite GPS Messenger will be sent to you.
NOTE: Unfortunately, SPOT LLC cannot transfer geo-location information from ESN# to ESN# nor is SPOT LLC responsible for any data loss that occurs.
