Once again, we are teaming up with Backpacker's Get Out More Tour! Get Out More is a mobile tour that encourages outdoor activity and offers outdoor enthusiasts, like our SPOT customers, free workshops about the latest outdoor gear. The tour will bring the pages of Backpacker Magazine to life. Audiences can see the latest in outdoor gear and apparel in person and get a chance to win outdoor prizes.

The Get Out More Tour, led by outdoor experts Sheri and Randy Propster, will make over 60 stops at outdoor specialty retailers and festivals. At each stop, the Get Out More road team hosts an interactive seminar where audiences can check out the latest outdoor products like SPOT Connect.

SPOT Connect provides smartphone users connectivity to the Globalstar Satellite network for sending location-based messages from areas with limited or no cell coverage. By downloading the SPOT Connect App, SPOT Connect wirelessly communicates via Bluetooth when paired with a smartphone. Outdoor enthusiasts can maintain a line of communication when off the grid, getting out more!

The tour kicks off on April 7 in Raleigh, NC and will run through December 8, 2011 in Austin, TX. Go to the SPOT website for a complete list of tour dates.
