To enter the Giveaway on Facebook, go to the SPOT Facebook page at www.facebook.com/SPOTmessenger and make a posting on the SPOT Facebook page during the Giveaway Period. Any photos submitted as part of the Giveaway must adhere to the recognized Facebook photo formats. To enter the Giveaway on Twitter, go to www.twitter.com, and using your own account, login to Twitter and “tweet” a message that includes @SPOT_messenger and a photo with your SPOT messenger in view. All entries must be submitted by the Giveaway period schedule listed below. Limit one (1) entry per person. All entries become the sole property of SPOT, LLC (“Sponsor”) and receipt of entries will not be acknowledged or returned. Delivery of prizes requires an email address and street address (no P.O. Boxes).

Eligibility. Giveaway is open to legal residents of the fifty (50) United States, who are at least 18 years of age or older. Void in Puerto Rico or where prohibited, taxed or restricted by law. Employees, officers and directors of Sponsor and its affiliates, partners, advertising and promotion agencies, manufacturers or distributors of Sponsor materials and their immediate families (parents, children, siblings, spouse) or members of the same household (whether related or not) of such employees/officers/directors are not eligible to enter.

Giveaway Period/Schedule. The Giveaway begins at 12:00:00 AM Pacific Time (PT) on November 21, 2009 and ends 11:59:59 PM PT on December 21, 2009 (the "Giveaway Period"). There will be random drawings conducted during the five (5) week Giveaway Period Schedule listed below to award a total of nine (9) Prizes awarded during the Giveaway Period. Winners will be notified within one week of the promotion end date.

Winner Selection. Winner will be selected in a random drawing from all eligible entries received. Customers cannot win more than once during the promotion nor can they have multiple identity accounts to increase their odds of winning. Drawing will be conducted by equating all entries to a number in order they were received and then randomly drawing a number one week of the promotion end date. By entering the Giveaway, entrants agree to be bound by these office rules and regulations, which will be final and binding in all matters relating to the Giveaway. Winners will be notified within one week of the promotion end date.

Prizes. A total of nine (9) prizes will be awarded consisting of three (3) Les Stroud Survive signed books+swag, two (2) SPOT Personal Trackers signed by Robby Gordon with twelve (12) months of basic service and tracking; Approximate Retail Value ($319.97 ARV), two (2) SPOT Personal Trackers signed by Jose Wejebe with twelve (12) months of basic service and tracking ($319.97 ARV), one (1) SPOT Personal Tracker signed by Les Stroud with twelve (12) months of basic service and tracking ($319.97 ARV), and one (1) SPOT Personal Tracker with twelve (12) months of basic service and tracking ($319.97 ARV). If winner is considered a minor in his/her jurisdiction of residence, prize will be awarded in the name of winner’s parent/legal guardian. The winner will be responsible for all service charges at the regular rate following the initial twelve (12) month period, unless earlier canceled by contacting SPOT at 1-866-OK1-SPOT. The winner must provide a credit card at the time of activation for service renewals. All winners will be solely responsible for all applicable taxes on prizes. Prizes are non-transferable. No substitutions or cash redemptions, except by Sponsor who reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value in the case of unavailability of any prize.

Notification and Conditions. Winner will be notified by email and will be required to sign and return, where legal, an Affidavit of Eligibility and Liability/Publicity Release within fourteen (14) days of prize notification. If winner cannot be contacted, if any prize is returned as undeliverable, or in the event of noncompliance with these Giveaway rules and regulations, the prize will be forfeited and an alternate winner will be selected. Upon prize forfeiture, no compensation will be given. Giveaway is subject to all federal, state, and local laws. By entering and/or acceptance of prize, entrants and winner agree to release Sponsor, and its parent company, subsidiaries, affiliates, partners, representatives, agents, successors, assigns, employees, officers and directors, from any and all liability, for loss, harm, damage, injury, cost or expense whatsoever including without limitation, property damage, personal injury and/or death which may occur in connection Giveaway, or possession, acceptance and/or use or misuse of prize or participation in any Giveaway-related activity and for any claims based on publicity rights, defamation or invasion of privacy and merchandise delivery. Other Conditions. All entrants must have a valid email address. In case of dispute as to identity of entrant, entry will be declared made by the authorized account holder of the email address submitted at time of entry. “Authorized Account Holder” is defined as the natural person who is assigned an email address by an Internet access provider, online service provider, or other organization (e.g., business, educational, institution, etc.) responsible for assigning email addresses or the domain associated with the submitted email address. Any other attempted form of entry is prohibited; no automatic, programmed; robotic or similar means of entry are permitted. Sponsor, its affiliates, partners and promotion and advertising agencies are not responsible for technical, hardware, software, telephone or other communications malfunctions, errors or failures of any kind, lost or unavailable network connections, Web site, Internet, or ISP availability, unauthorized human intervention, traffic congestion, incomplete or inaccurate capture of entry information (regardless of cause) or failed, incomplete, garbled, jumbled or delayed computer transmissions which may limit one's ability to enter the Giveaway, including any injury or damage to participant’s or any other person’s computer relating to or resulting from participating in this Giveaway or downloading any materials in this Giveaway.  Upon Giveaway registration, Sponsor may start sending you SPOT Satellite Messenger newsletters and product information and updates. Each such communication will allow you to opt out of receiving such communications in the future.
