You've been there before: the car breaks down, maybe it's a hot day on the freeway, you're on vacation, plans get preempted, you call the auto club and you plain-old have a bad day. What if this scenario happens miles from cell coverage or call boxes? Not even OnStar works outside of cellular coverage. Now there is SPOT Assist!
SPOT Assist provides the world’s first portable 24/7 roadside assistance service that operates solely on satellite technology offering complete service coverage even from remote locations without the limitations of cellular based services. When it comes to safety on the road, don’t take chances —take control with SPOT Assist roadside service. Learn how by clicking on Read More. Important Notice: If you purchase the roadside assistance option, you will not be able to share the HELP button function to contact your friends and family. Once the help button is enabled for roadside assistance, the HELP button will only work for roadside assistance.
New subscribers can purchase the Bundled Basic Service w/ SPOT Assist for $129.99 or current customers can upgrade their basic package with SPOT Assist roadside service, for $29.99 per year (pro-rated based on your anniversary date). You may log in to your account to upgrade the service. Once subscribed to the service, you can simply press the HELP button to request complete 24-hour roadside assistance the next time you have car trouble. Out of gas? Flat tire? Blown head gasket? You’re covered with SPOT Assist – servicing US, Canada, Puerto Rico and Hawaii. In addition, service is available through an included toll-free number as an alternative method to summon roadside assistance. SPOT Assist roadside service includes towing (up to 50 miles per tow), extrication, accident assistance, road service, fluid delivery, tire service, battery service, and lost-key or lockout service, at your GPS location. Includes up to five (5) towing/roadside assistance events annually. Service Exclusions: Must be within 100 meters of a regularly maintained roadway. Service is also not offered in roadless areas regularly not traveled, such as vacant lots, beaches, open fields or other places that are hazardous for tow trucks to reach.
